Our speaker was Dr. Raj Vinnakota, the Director for theElectronics Engineering Technology Program at Troy University. Dr. Raj updated us about the exciting first engineering technology program at Troy University. The Electronics Engineering technology program will fuel the electronics manufacturing economy in the region. The meeting was hosted by Marcus Paramore and Suman Kumar.
LTC Wayne Norman from the ALARNG spoke at our club, he shared with us the current role and operational tempo of the ALARNG along with the new partnership it has formed with the TRMC
Pike County Commission President Robin Sullivan spoke at the Troy Rotary Club on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Mr. Sullivan updated the club members on the construction of the new county justice facilities and overall status of county government.

The Club is visited by Pike County Pioneer Ann Love, as portrayed by Mrs. Alice Phillips. (The Messenger recently did a story on Mrs. Phillips’ re-enactment of Ann Love. She is Maggie Hammond’s mother.
AUGUST 2021 SERVICE PROJECT: Troy Rotary organized the assembly of school supplies for elementary school students in need.
Our guest speakers for August 31 are Troy City Schools Superintendent Cynthia Thomas and School Board President Jonathan Cellon, who updated us on the Troy School System and its plans for the year.
Rep. Allen presented a very informative update summarizing the recent State House legislative session to include bills that have been designed to improve State election procedures in the AL. Announced as a candidate for the Republican nomination for the Secretary of State, Rep. Allen discussed his views on providing secure elections for all Alabamians.
