School Resource Officers, Sgt. Tim Brooks and Deputy Hope Carlilse, from the Pike County Sherriff’s Office were our guest speaker. They talked about school safety, drug abuse, complexity of current youth culture in context of drugs. They informed the Club members about dangers associated with highly potent street drugs, firearms, student safety, and the approaches being used to build rapport and support for our school children.

Mr. Will Ratcliff Gave a Presentation on upcoming peace Conference

Mr. Will Ratcliff was our club speaker. He is a Chairperson 2023 International Peace Conference. He gave a presentation on Peace Conference which is going to take place in Birmingham between 1-7May, 2023. It is hosted by Rotary International District 6860 (North and Central Alabama) in partnership with the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and the Institute of Human Rights at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Today, our club met at Pioneer Museum

The Troy Rotary Club met at the Pioneer Museum on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023.  Our speakers were Dr. Ethan Sellars, and Rotarian Rick Smith – Director of the Troy Regional Medical Center. Dr. Ethan Sellers attended Troy University and earned his doctorate degree in Osteopathy from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) in Dothan, Ala. He gave an insightful presentation on the Wound Care Center
