WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF TROY

John Dew, President 2021, Troy Rotary

Allow me to welcome you to the Troy Rotary Club’s web site,

The Troy Rotary Club has been actively providing service and fellowship in the City of Troy for over 100 years. The Club was founded in 1920 and has championed a wide variety of projects to improve education, health care, children’s growth and development and safety in our community

As Rotarians, we ascribe to the Four Way Test in all of the things we think, do, and say. “Is it the Truth?” Is it fair to all concerned?” “Will it grow goodwill and better friendships?” “Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.

Our Club meets every Tuesday at 12 Noon at the Troy Country Club. Visiting Rotarians are always welcome and we would especially welcome any visitors who might wish to learn more about Rotary and becoming a Rotarian.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Dew, President

Our local Rotary Club supports many civic organizations, scholarships, and community projects. More than any other organizations Troy Rotarians are able to claim that we put our motto “Service Above Self” into action. We are a diverse group of community residents that gain a wealth of information from the excellent guest and programs during the year.

Rotary International may be the largest not-for-profit service organizations in the world today, with over one million members actively participating in thousands of local clubs spread across 161 countries around the world. Rotary addresses issues such as homelessness, polio, education, hunger, clean water, and other national and international disasters. The Rotary Foundation contributes nearly $100 million every year toward humanitarian programs. The Rotary members voluntarily participate and raise the funds needed to service our projects. There are no administrations costs so 100% goes to make this a better world. Rotary promotes cooperation between all factions of our community, state, country, and world. Our international motto for this year is “Be a Gift to the World.”
